After the dual labor strikes of last summer and fall put a damper on the typical promotional rollout for their last theatrical feature, the underrated, ultimately box office underachieving The Marvels, Marvel Studios is back doing its traditional worldwide talent press tour in support of what is arguably one of their most anticipated releases of all time, the milestone mutant + Marvel Cinematic Universe merger movie Deadpool & Wolverine. The longtime portrayers of the title characters themselves, star/co-writer/producer Ryan Reynolds and star Hugh Jackman, along with their previous The Adam Project / Free Guy / Real Steel collaborator, director/co-writer/producer Shawn Levy, kicked off the nearly month-long campaign on Tuesday, July 2, at the Shanghai Film Art Centre. Beyond just being the first stop on the tour, this appearance, highlights of which can be seen in the video below, is also significant in marking the first time an installment of the raucous and raunchy Deadpool series will be releasing in Chinese cinemas.
