Lea Michele, Martin Short & Jim Belushi are Legends of Oz

The Regency Village Theatre in Westwood was transformed into the Emerald City of Oz the morning of Saturday, May 3 for the premiere of Legends of Oz: Dorothy's Return, 3D animated musical sequel to The Wizard of Oz, based on Roger S. Baum's book Dorothy of Oz. Going the extra mile beyond laying out a green carpet for the arrivals of guests such as voice stars Lea Michele, Jim Belushi, and Martin Short, mini-sets depicting locations from the land of Oz were set up, and attendees were also given various costume props to choose from to fulfill their roles as citizens of the magical land for the day, from jester hats to wigs emulating the familiar braided pigtail hairdo of young heroine Dorothy Gale, voiced and sung by Michele.

After everyone traversed the green carpet scene, Michele, Belushi, and Short greeted the audience before the film began, which one can see in the video below.

Legends of Oz: Dorothy's Return opens in cinemas nationwide this Friday, May 9, from Clarius Entertainment.
