CinemaCon 2023 came to its traditional close with the Big Screen Achievement Awards and Closing Night Party, honoring notable acting and filmmaking talent, most of whom involved in upcoming releases featured throughout the week at the various studio presentations. In a signifying of still in-progress pandemic recovery, the lineup for the final night was much smaller than in pre-2020 years, plus two awards, the Lifetime Achievement Award and the inaugural Legend of Cinema Award, were respectively given at earlier convention events to Denzel Washington and Martin Scorsese. This year's complete list of honorees for the awards night:
- CinemaCon Star of the Year: Zendaya
- Rising Stars of the Year: Anthony Ramos & Dominique Fishback
- Comedy Ensemble of the Year: Ashley Park, Sherry Cola, Stephanie Hsu, Sabrina Wu in Joy Ride
- Cinema Vérité Award: Melissa McCarthy
- NATO Spirit of the Industry Award: Christopher Nolan & Emma Thomas
- Award of Excellence in Animation: Chris Meledandri
For the second consecutive year, the usual pre-awards show press conferences did not take place this year.
Following that final event at the Colosseum, it was up to the Octavius Ballroom one final time for the last event of the week, the Big Screen Achievement Awards afterparty, sponsored by the convention's presenting sponsor, Coca-Cola.

And so ends another full springtime week at CinemaCon. Hopefully I will be returning on April 8 - 11, 2024 for CinemaCon 2024!
