The 12th annual Indian Film Festival of Los Angeles (IFFLA) got underway yesterday, Tuesday, April 8, at its usual home of Arclight Cinemas Hollywood with the world premiere screening of director Jeffrey D. Brown's human trafficking drama Sold, based on Patricia McCormick's novel of the same name. Below is video of the opening remarks by festival founder/chairman Christina Marouda, festival artistic director Jasmine Jaisinghani, Brown, Sold producer Jane Charles, and Sold co-star David Arquette; followed by Brown's post-film Q&A with festival director of programming Mike Dougherty.
The 2014 Indian Film Festival of Los Angeles is currently running through Sunday, April 13.
