F3PR: Shailene Woodley to receive CinemaCon Female Star of Tomorrow Award

WASHINGTON D.C. (February 11, 2014) – Shailene Woodley will receive the “CinemaCon® Female Star of Tomorrow Award” at this year’s CinemaCon, it was announced today by Mitch Neuhauser, Managing Director of CinemaCon. CinemaCon, the official convention of The National Association of Theatre Owners (NATO), will be held March 24 – 27, 2014 at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. Woodley will be presented with this special honor at the “CinemaCon Big Screen Achievement Awards” ceremony to take place on Thursday evening, March 27, in The Colosseum at Caesars Palace. The Coca-Cola Company, the official presenting sponsor of CinemaCon, will host the final night gala awards program.

Woodley’s feature film debut in The Descendants earned her many accolades including a 2012 Independent Spirit Award for Best Supporting Actress, the National Board of Review Award for Best Supporting Actress along with a Golden Globe and Critics Choice award nomination. Most recently Woodley was seen in the critically acclaimed film The Spectacular Now, which she is nominated for an Independent Spirit Award for her work, along with the Gregg Araki directed White Bird In A Blizzard.
